Incidentally, the “Volkswagen Safran” adverts I was talking about? They’re actually for the Vauxhall Meriva. Very effective, obviously.

The theme worked for the first 12 hours, but then I ran out of books. Which isn’t terribly useful. Perhaps I should plan better in advance…

Maybe next year I’ll find someone to blog with me. Sure, Skype and MSN keep you company in the wee small hours, but they’re no substitute for a real live person.

More energy-food-sort-of-stuff might be nice. I should have thought of that, really.

But I would definitely do it againn. I’m not too sure where I’ll be this time next year, but provisionally keep this date in your diaries!

I have to say, though, I’m always impressed by the incredibly hi-tech stuff that happens at these races – on one of the first corners of this race, a car was knocked into the air by another, landed, and carried on perfectly fine. How they can achieve such safety at such high speeds is beyond me.

My body clock has gone all strange – I’m convinced it’s still Saturday. I’ve lost a day somewhere. I feel robbed.

Anyhoo – breaking news: there’s some sort of fire at the 007 stage at Pinewood, where the new Bond movie is still in production. The BBC doesn’t seem to know much more

Dads are tight. They say to their children, “We’ll have one later, when we come back,” but they never do. And with young couples it’s almost always the girlfriend who pays.

If you look them in the eye and as, “Small, medium or large?”, 90 per cent of adults will go for the medium.

For 26 sunny weeks of the year I have no social life whatsoever.

Just thought you’d like to know…

Actually, I’ve almost completed it. It is, admittedly, an easy one.

Sounds like a good plan – I can pretend to be sluglike too.

And I’ve pretty much run out of things to write about.

You know how sometimes when you close you eyes you know you’re going to fall asleep? I’m at that stage.

An all-powerful father sends his son to Earth to save mankind by showing them the “light”. The son is able to perform miracles. He “dies” and is born again.

Sound familiar? It might do, it’s the plot of the new movie Superman Returns. And in the blogs and internet forums there has been a maelstrom of debate on the parallels between Superman and Jesus Christ.

Hmm… I’d never really noticed it, but there certainly are parallels. That said, though…
